The One With The Walk

When I told Vicka (the Mumford's daughter from Ukraine, who is my age and also helps with school) that my idea of being "outdoors" was taking my book outside to read, she laughed (a lot) then said, "I do not understand this!". So today the three of us, Vicka, Suzanne, and I walked to resort at the bottom of the hill overlooking Lake Victoria. It was quite the adventure, walking through the village as people shouted "Hello, Mzungu! (meaning white person)" at us. The sun on the equator was "no joke", to quote Vicka, but I made it back with minimal sun damage. Walking down was no problem, really, but coming back up was another story. I succumbed to the pressure and took a boda-boda. If you don't know what that is, it's ok. And if you do,  don't tell my mother.....

Just to give you a reference to how far we went
